Well ...
The presents are wrapped ...
The bags are packed ...
The tickets are ready ...

Well two outta three aren't bad!
No bags packed ...
But why break a habit of a lifetime!

This time Saturday we will be in Okinawa
And while not quite a sun drenched paradise
Its tons warmer then here!

And while I'm sipping Awamori
I will be thinking of you
And missing you
Probably more than I'll ever let on ...

Have a good Christmas ...
Drink a pint or glass of wine (or bottle!) for me
And sure I'll see y'all soon!

Just when I'm sure I hate this place ...

So the whole 1-9 schedule is a pain
Especially for someone who needs a pretty damn good reason to get up before 11
By the time I get home it's too late to do anything
And getting out of a warm bed is way too hard

But November/December is the time of the Japanese Maples
And laziness/weather has kept us from seeing them in Kyoto
So I managed to peel myself out of bed to go see them here in Inuyama this morning

I'd never been to the temple before
And once I managed to work my way past the gangs of Japanese Tourists (they're here too!!) and their tripods (I've never seen so many in my life)...
Well...it was very pretty
