So the email is gone, finally.

I have to say at one point, just the thought of writing that damn essay was enough to make me not want to go to Japan. You'd think that if I wanted to live and work in Japan, it should be fairly easy to write an essay entitled 'Why I want to live and work in Japan'. But it's not. It was horrible.

And in the end, I hate my essay. It's boring, stilted and trying way too hard. I swear I can actually write better than that. I even restarted it the night before it was due and tried to write something more natural, more in my style, more in any style. But in the end I figured it was better to just hand in something conventional, saying all the right things, even if it wasn't in a very interesting way.

So I guess now I just wait ....
